Simply Spoiled :)

The first item tackled today was.......... a Train ride down to San Diego. It had beeen at least 20 years since I was on Amtrack and so with this I can cross off #44. Then once we were down there we took a little stroll over to the Embarcadero and had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House--the food? Amazing! So that takes yet another resturant off my list of 10 to try out. And the third part of the evening was watching the sunset from outside the balcony of the resturant looking out over the San Diego Harbor. Do I plan to count this, YES I do.

Tennis Lessons!

#25 I can cross off. I decided to step out and bite the bullet and get back into lessons last week. So after calling and talking with the coach and then sending in payment, today was the first lesson. Im soooo sore! I work out at the gym 4 -5 times a week for a minimum of 90 minutes each time, but never the less Im sooooo sore! Plus the coach is CUTE so that may be why I exerted extra effort :) Its a group class, but there was only 4 of us so we really had a work out. This will totally be a fun experience and I am already looking forward to next weeks lesson!

Another shot

Tonight after running along the coast for a bit I had thought ahead and packed my camera so I pulled it out and really had fun grabbing some cool shots. In addition to the cool sunsets I was able to shoot, I was able to capture I think the beach in its finest.

A man singing to the woman he loves

A couple snuggled together to watch the sunset

A family walking along the beach

Surfers in the water

It was a lot of fun tonight I took so many pictures. For more shots check out my flickr account.

A Pile of Games +A batch of junk food =Fun filled Fun!

Take a pile of :

Toss in a bunch of:

What you get is number 31 crossed off the list. In a age where playing board games as a family is far and few between. This was something I am so glad we did. Maybe fueled by a little guilt...Ive been so busy this weekend, out late on Friday and out Saturday night plus gone a part of the day at class on Saturday, one way to relieve the guilt....submerge myself into being a mom. Tonight we had fun. At first you could tell by their faces who was thinking this was going to be fun and who was wishing badly that we could tie a computer or the PS2 into this evening somehow. But as the night progressed you can see their faces got much happier....of course my arm hurts now at the moment from my eldest daughter seeing I was posting up their pictures :) ah well

They had picked
out 8 games but with 3 hours or so we played we only had enough time for 3. Life is a long game and the kids are now at the age that they are like little people...not just little kids. They all have opinions thoughts and ideas....lots of energy too :P

34. Take a Class---Adobe Photoshop Im officially a student!

Wow I can say Im totally excited about this. Its been a long day but today was fun. I have heard and seen some of what this program can do. A friend of mine from my past first showed me a while back a lot of what he did with this program but after today Im really excited and we just began to scratch the surface of what this program can do.

Its difficult for me to be in a class. The class is filled with all kinds of people with all kinds of backgrounds. Im a very fast learner....so not only am I learning how to work a program...Im having to learn a bit of patience while the teacher has a few people who have to be walked over the basics of how simply point and click a mouse. (ok maybe not that over the top ... but you get my meaning) So all in all this will be a real challenge to keep my patience up while learning and not get frustrated in the process.

Im going ahead and scratching this off the list. Today was the first class of 4. I went ahead and signed up for Adobe Photoshop 2 in April too. Im that excited about what Im learning and what I will be able to do with this. Now I have to figure out how to come up with the money to buy the program. I just can't see sinking almost $600 into a software program so Im going to have to get creative and buy an older version and then the upgrade. That seems to be the only sensible thing to do....monitarily speaking that is.

So Im off to a great start and really for more then just the fact that the class was fun. Im determined to see what I can do moving forward in some sort of a career in the future with Graphic Arts.
