Music Festival!

This weekend the kids and I attended SummerGrass Bluegrass Festival. Honestly it didn't occur to me that I would have this opportunity to cross off another from my list until while I was sitting there listening to the music today. Seeing the signs posted it made me think back to my childhood and knowing I had nothing really planned for the weekend I decided to talk the kids into going. I wasn't getting very far into my persuasion, so I texted Dennis and pleaded for help and suggestions. He told me to mention the food....I did, they succumed :).

I have this thing for banjos. It drives my children crazy, they think Im a freak, maybe I am. Ever since I was a child Ive been facinated with the way they sound. A few years ago I even picked up one and gave it a shot learning how to play it, but the kids were still so young and needed so much of my attention I didn't have the time it took to keep at it. I wish I would have kept that darn thing.

The food was AMAZING, tri tip bbq sandwiches! YUM! Plus the kettle corn, the ice cream and other junk the kids begged for, this wasn't a cheap venture, but fun for me all the same!

My favorite bands of the day, Blue Highway, loved them and then THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS. Both were fantastic!

So with attending the festival this does indeed cross off this item from my list :)

Sell $1000 on Ebay...cha ching!

Let me just say this, I have no future working for any company in their shipping department! After spending the past two days, boxing and shipping almost 2 dozen items, fighting with a tape gun (no I don't think I won!), and searching high and low for boxes to ship off the items I sold...I have indeed exceeded my $1000 goal. Actually at this point Ive sold closer to $1500 but Im not done collecting the money yet. My new goal or personal goal is to raise enough money to send my kids on their school trips. Thats going to be closer to $2300, so I have lots to still ship, box, and well simply go out of my mind over. But for my 101 project, I have fulfilled my goal here --I have sold and collected over $1000....so I can cross this off my list.

Also a couple of nights ago I was walking around outside, thinking and noticed how pretty the sky was. It compelled me to go back inside and bring out my camera. As I was shooting pictures I realized I was taking pictures of the sun setting, so why not include my own back yard as one of the locations for my sunset pictures. So with that in mind I can add that onto my list as another shot completed.

Food Glorious Food!

That song is a must I think, or one that automatically goes off in my head since the time I was in London and watched Oliver on the stage. When placed in front of a delicious meal, its a song that just must be sang :)

This weekend while Neek was out she helped me ....well she helped the girls destroy my kitchen, but she also helped me cross off one more from my list.

Being that her mother was French and she has family there and has lived there she knows how to make yummy, crepes. YUMMY! :) So with much fun in the kitchen, and much destruction, just look at the face of my youngest............we all learned how to make yummy crepes!

Progress update

In my attempt to keep making progress on my list I have started work on 5 or 6 more on my list and may very well have them crossed off within the next few weeks......here's hoping anyway. I have begun the process of refinancing my home to clear out all credit card debt, in doing so (yes I realize some may say thats cheating.........HOWEVER!.......... since there is no stipulation as to how I pay off that debt :P) I will have number 54 to cross off most likely by Sept 1st. Also with the huge change to my budget I will be crossing off number 51 and aiming to get number 55 worked on as well.

I have started selling things on Ebay, its amazing how much things change and you have to relearn the system to list things there again, so I am starting slowly and when I get it all running smoothly....via Ebay's turbo lister I am aiming to work towards that goal of number 30. Additionally, today I sent off a deposit towards number 75.........the picture is one from the litter, we will be driving up in 4 weeks to Palmdale to pick out our newest addition to the family :) 94 is another possibility......if the appriasial comes out fantastic.......the car may be paid off, if not in order to stop living beyond my means, and overexcessively......also because I want a boat :) it will be time to go back to only having 1 car........and honestly the novality of being chased down the freeway by idiots is starting to wear a little thin.......so within the next few months I will most likely be parting with my sweet little car and the truck for something more sporty.........maybe a JEEP :) "Silly Boys.........Jeeps are for GIRLS!"

I have a few other brain storms about a few others on the list...........but for now, I think this is enough to keep me plenty busy :)
